Good as New
Since 1870 members of the Sheargold family have been restoring pianos and passing on the traditional methods and craft to the next generation. This knowledge, passion and craftsmanship is something I hold very close to my hart and put into all my restoration work.
Restoration or a restored piano means a lot of different things, there is full restoration which is to take an old piano and rebuild it back to new or to restore is to take it to the best it can be with the original materials and use what is already there.
Full restoration ideally is to strip a piano down to wood and metal then rebuild it using new parts, and having the case refinished to as new. But you don’t have to go this far, you can just have the action done or a restring to obtain a good working instrument with many years of life left in it.
So if you have a family piano which you grew up playing and you would like to keep it and pass it on to your children, or have brought an old piano of eBay. Be it a Steinway Grand a Challen baby even a upright, It can be transformed into the beautiful instrument it once was with the touch, tone and colour of sound to match any new piano.
